First Day of School

Today was our first day of school!!! To start the day off mama tica made us eggs and fruit. We left the house around 8 to catch the bus, and got to school around 8:30. There were sooo many other students there as well. I met people from the UK, Finland, Kentucky and Missouri! The first two hours of class were spent getting to know our professor and talk about or Spanish speaking. We got an hour break everyday and today a few friends and I decided to try a vegan restaurant near our school, Luv Burger. The food there was AMAZING!! The atmosphere was beautiful. There was hanging plants all on the ceiling and everything looked very modern. We had class until 2 then a dance class till 5! I could never pass up dancing, and I got to learn a lot. After dancing a few of us went to the San Pedro mall to try Pops. Pops is similar to a Dairy Queen, they have various ice cream flavors and different sweets. I tried the Guanabana ice cream, super refreshing! Funny enough after that I was really craving spicy food so we went to the auto mercado in search of something spicy. However in Costa Rica you will very rarely find something that is spicy, their spicy is more like a mild taste. My roommate and I took the bus back home to just make sure we'd be back in time for dinner. For dinner our mama tica spoiled us with burritos. And probably the most healthy burrito I've ever eaten! It was wrapped in a flour tortilla with carrots, cucumbers, beans, avocado, lettuce, and tomatoes. After dinner I worked on my assignments and went to bed relatively early, it had been a long day!
