Today was another early morning. My roommate and I woke up early to walk down to the beach to watch the sunrise. On the agenda for today: Go into Manuel Antonio. This is a national park that includes various trails as well as a beach. We had a guide lead us and teach us all about the different wildlife that lives in the park. Because we were entering the home of any animals, we were asked to leave behind all kinds of nuts and crackers.

Someone in our group had packed a sandwich, and after all the hiking we had done she was ready to eat her sandwich. But a monkey had snuck up behind her and had taken the sandwich out of her hand. The monkey did in fact open the bag the sandwich was in and began to eat it. Once we were all done with our leaded tour of the jungle, we were able to enjoy the beach. I was able to get one picture of the beach, unfortunately it is the rainy season during June so it was raining that day.

After the beach a few of us wanted to take showers and clean up before we all had dinner later that night. We were walking through a single street that had lots of vendors. Many people were selling beautiful pareos which are much like a tapestry that can be used in numerous styles. We met a very kind man that showed us how he cut open the coconut to eat the inside part. So delicious!
